Further to the delayed opening at the Toronto Stock Exchange this morning, an investigation has revealed that the problem was related to a file that was not cleared following testing conducted over the weekend.

The Central Bank Of Iceland Auctions Repurchase Agreements For 15.7 Billion Kronur.

The Central Bank of Iceland held a weekly auction of repurchase agreements on August 22 of the standard maturity of 14 days. The auction was a fixed rate one at 10.6 per cent p.a. Offers were made for a total amount of 15. 7 billion krónur resulting in repurchase contracts for that amount.

ISDEX® Internet Stock Index Component Change Announced

The Kansas City Board of Trade announces the following changes to the ISDEX® index of Internet stocks, effective with the close of trading on August 21.Verio (VRIO) is no longer in the ISDEX and is being replaced by PHONE.COM (PHCM).

Due to a power outage in the Canadian Venture Exchange building (CDNX) which houses the electronic trading platform used by the Montreal Exchange for its 131 listed companies, the equity trading of the Montreal Exchange was suspended today.

Copenhagen Stock Exchange: Interim Accounts Influenced By Bustling Activity On The Equity Market - Satisfactory Results Achieved By The Copenhagen Stock Exchange

Group profit after tax for the first half of 2000 amounted to DKK 12.2 million, up from DKK 9.7 million during the corresponding period in 1999. The FUTOP Clearing Centre reported a loss of 1.3 million, compared with a profit of DKK 0.7 million for the first half of 1999.

HKFE Panel Sees Three-month HIBOR Rising

The Hong Kong Futures Exchange's (HKFE) panel of forecasters from 10 banks predicts that with the demand for interbank funds likely to rise in the next few months due to further expansion of the local economy, the three-month Hong Kong interbank offered rate (HIBOR) will be higher on 16 October compared to its 15 August level.
