NZSE Pleased With Demutualisation Bill Progress

Chairman Mr Simon Allen said today that the Exchange was pleased to see the Bill back from the Select committee. "The Exchange has worked closely with the Select Committee members to develop legislation which satisfies the Committee regarding the appropriate regulation of NZSE, operating as a demutualised Exchange, and meets the objective of the Exchange to facilitate restructuring to meet the needs of a dynamic market."

NYSE To Resume Trading On Monday, September 17

Nymex To Hold A Log-On And Full Beta Test From 8:30 To 9:30 AM, September 14- Intends To Hold A Two-Hour Electronic Trading Session In The Afternoon - Times To Be Announced In The Early Morning.

Due to safety precautions at the One North End Avenue facility, there was no NYMEX ACCESS® trading session yesterday evening. The Exchange will hold a log-on and full beta test from 8:30 to 9:30 AM tomorrow, September 14, with the intention of holding a two-hour electronic trading session in the afternoon, with the times to be announced in the early morning.

New York Mercantile Exchange Will Hold An Internet-Based NYMEX ACCESS® Session This Afternoon

The New York Mercantile Exchange will hold an internet-based NYMEX ACCESS® session this afternoon. There will be a 1:30 PM log-in; 2:00 to 2:30 P.M. pre-opening session to enter orders; and trading will be conducted from 2:30 to 5 PM, with the 4:30 to 5 PM period as the closing range.

Ljubljana Stock Exchange: Three Minutes Of Silence In Support Of The Victims Of The USA Terrorist Attacks

Following the initiative of the European Council and the Federation of the European Securities Exchanges (FESE), European Exchanges will observe a three-minute silence on Friday, 14 September 2001, at 12:00 CET. All trading on the exchanges will be halted, so as to express their support and sympathy for the victims of the recent terrorist attacks in the Unites States of America.

LIFFE To Observe 3 Minute Silence In Conjunction With Other European Exchanges

Following the decision by the European Union to call for a day of mourning today in light of the tragic events in the United States, the London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange (LIFFE) will observe three minutes' silence in conjunction with other European exchanges. The silence will commence at 11.00am (BST). LIFFE members have been invited to join in the three minute silence.

Responding to the call of the Council of the European Union, Euronext has decided to implement a coordinated three-minute of silence and a simultaneous general trading halt on all its markets at 12.00 p.m. CET on Friday 14 September, to express its sympathy with the victims of the deeply tragic events in the United States.
