Compensation for C.A. Pacific Securities and Forluxe Securities Claimants

The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong issued 714 determination notices to C.A. Pacific Securities Claimants in May. Copies of the determination notices were sent to the Securities and Futures Commission requesting payment to the claimants. A large majority of the 714 claims have been successful and bring to 2,344 the number of settled cases.

In general, the market this week could be categorised as slow with a 34% decline in the number of shares traded and a 13% decrease in value. The Index is still below the opening level for the year (-2.7%). The declines this week have again outnumbered the advances at 10 to 3. The Australian Securities and Investments Commission - Australian Stock Exchange - Computershare Agreement

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), Australian Stock Exchange Limited (ASX) and Computershare Limited on May 28 agreed that ASX would consult ASIC before making any decisions relating to the listing of Computershare on ASX. This agreement will last for as long as Computershare and ASX have alternative proposals relating to the Sydney Futures Exchange. No Change in the Current Design of German Interest-Rate Futures at Eurex

On Thursday May 27, the derivatives market Eurex, in collaboration with the Working Committee on Interest Rates, came to the conclusion that the current design of the German interest-rate futures would not be changed. CME Euro Fx Futures Set New Open Interest Record As Euro Value Sets New Lows

Open interest in the Chicago Mercantile Exchange's (CME) Euro FX currency futures contract hit an all-time high following Wednesday's trading session as the new euro currency continued to hit new lows against the U.S. dollar. Following Wednesday's trading session, open interest in Euro FX futures stood at 54,516 positions, up 6,567 contracts over the prior day's close. Liquidity in Euro FX has also picked up in recent sessions as new participants have entered the market for the first time.

100th SMAX Participant Exactly One Month after the SMAX Launch Deutsche Börse reports continuing high level of interest from issuers

On Wednesday May 26, exactly one month after the launch of the SMAX quality segment, Deutsche Börse listed the 100th SMAX company, M.A.X. Holding AG. Nine new listings have been added within the last four weeks. The SDAX, the barometer of the 100 strongest German SMAX companies, will be launched, as announced, on June 21.
