Effective Monday, August 28, 2000, the new Dow Jones Industrial Average divisor will be 0.16894073, and the new Dow Jones Composite Average divisor will be.96648551, reflecting a 4:3 split of Citigroup (C).

Tokyo Stock Exchange Plans To Implement DVP Settlement In The First Half Of 2001.

Over the last few years TSE has implemented T+3 rolling settlement, same day fund settlement and central counterparty clearing, in order to meet global standards, to reduce settlement risk and to increase the efficiency and convenience of the TSE market as a whole. In addition, TSE will soon be implementing delivery versus payment (DVP) settlement, the simultaneous or same day payment of funds and securities, thus meeting global settlement standards.

Program Trading Averaged 18.7 Percent Of NYSE Volume During August 14-August 18

The New York Stock Exchange today released its weekly program-trading data submitted by its member firms. The report includes trading in all markets as reported to the NYSE for August 14-August 18. The data indicated that during August 14-August 18, program trading amounted to 18.7 percent of NYSE average daily volume of 871.2 million shares, or 163.3 million shares a day. This included program trading associated with the August 18 monthly expiration of stock-index options and futures.

Minneapolis Grain Exchange Announces Increased Daily Price Limits For Wheat Contracts

The Minneapolis Grain Exchange (MGE) announced today it received approval from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to increase maximum daily price fluctuation limits for its three wheat futures and options contracts-hard red spring, white and durum. The changes will be effective Monday, Aug. 28, 2000, and apply to all existing and newly listed wheat contract months.
