Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. To Extend Trading Hours For GSCI Today If Energy And Metals Futures Trade At Nymex

Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) announced that it plans to extend open outcry trading today in its GSCI futures and options contracts to coincide with a planned special abbreviated session on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) Web-based ACCESS electronic trading system this afternoon.

Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) today announced that GLOBEX2 electronic trading of interest rate and foreign exchange products will conclude at 2 p.m. CST today, rather than 4 p.m. as previously announced. The special early closing time is in response to input from customers and member firms. CHF 97,394 Million In Turnover On SWX In August

A total volume of CHF 97,394 million was traded on SWX in August, 2.0 percent less than the month before. The total comprises CHF 76,327 million in equities (including funds), CHF 15,158 million in bonds, CHF 2,629 in derivatives, CHF 310 in Exchange Traded Funds and CHF 2,970 in Eurobonds.

The Kosdaq Stock Market Opens As Normal

On Wednesday 12 September, the Kosdaq Stock Market opened from noon to three to minimize the impact of the paralyzed US financial market. KOSDAQ index shed 7.16 points to close at 54.64 points, its sharpest drop in history. A total of 659 issues were traded on this day, with 646 sliding. Only 11 issues recorded a rise.
