In February 2002, some 2.8 billion euros in volume was traded in XTF, Deutsche Börse's stock-exchange segment for index funds and actively managed funds. Turnover in the XTF segment thus remains stable at record levels (January 2002: 2.9 billion euros). The daily average volume traded in XTF rose from 131 million euros to 141 million euros in February, an increase of about eight percent. Stock Promoter Who Obstructed Justice In SEC Enforcement Action Sentenced To 17 ½ Year Prison Term

The Securities and Exchange Commission announced today that Sidney Wade Sers was sentenced to 17 ½ years in federal prison for obstruction of justice, contempt of court and money laundering charges related to an SEC enforcement action. Sers was convicted of concealing $800,000 in Cayman Island bank accounts, in violation of court orders stemming from the SEC action.

Standard & Poor's Announces Changes In S&P Canadian Indices

Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Operations announces that effective after the close of business on Friday, March 15, 2002 the relative weights of the companies in the TSE and S&P/TSE Canadian Indices will be adjusted. SGX To Launch MSCI Japan Index Futures

Singapore Exchange Limited (SGX) announced today that it has signed a license agreement with Morgan Stanley Capital International Inc. ("MSCI") to launch the SGX MSCI Japan Index Futures Contract. This contract will start trading on the SGX Electronic Trading System (ETS) in the second quarter of 2002.

Gallo, the former president and chief operating officer of IGI Inc., for violations of the antifraud, periodic reporting, record keeping, internal controls and lying to auditors provisions of the federal securities laws. The results of the second review of FTSE4Good, the innovative socially responsible investment (SRI) index series created by global index group FTSE, are announced today, following a meeting of the FTSE4Good Advisory Committee. The Committee confirmed that an additional 82 companies worldwide have met the corporate social responsibility (CSR) entry criteria since the last review and will be admitted to the index series.
