    A recent survey by Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) shows that local retail investors were the major contributors to the trading of HKEx derivative products. They contributed 36 per cent of total transactions in HKEx's major derivatives products, Hang Seng Index (HSI) Futures, HSI Options, Mini-HSI Futures, HIBOR (Hong Kong Interbank Offered Rate) futures and stock options, from July 2000 to June 2001.     Instinet Group Incorporated (Nasdaq: INET), through its affiliates, the world's largest electronic agency securities broker, today announced the opening of Instinet Fixed Income Europe's French broker desk. The Paris-based desk will provide Instinet's clients with access to the French government bond market. This is one of Europe's core sovereign debt markets with approximately €580 billion in outstandings and ranked in the top three government bond markets alongside Germany and Italy.
