Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. Will Launch Reit Index And Disclose Trading Activities By Type Of Investors On The J-REIT Market.

In a press release issued on January 7, 2003, Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) annnounced that TSE will calculate and publish a new index for Japanese Real Estate Investment Trust, so-called J-REIT, on closing basis 1 and disclose trading activities (trading volume and value) by type of investors on the J-REIT market, around this spring.

Palestine Securities Exchange: Adjusting The Companies Included In Al-Quds Index

From the outset of this year, the PSE has adjusted the set of companies that are included in the calculation of Al-Quds Index. The last value of the index, the formula, as well as the number of companies included in the index, have remained unchanged. The trading activity in 2002 of the listed companies has been taken into consideration when selecting the new set of companies. This set of the companies represents all economic sectors.

NYBOT 2002 Volumes Up Significantly For The Year - Numerous Trading Records Also Established

The New York Board of Trade (NYBOT®) announced today that its yearly exchange-wide volume was up 17% for the year (2002 vs. 2001), with the agricultural products volume up 16%, the currency products volume up 17%, and the index products up 52%.

IntercontinentalExchange™ Sues NYMEX Over Abuse Of Monopoly Power In Energy Trading Market

IntercontinentalExchange, Inc. ("Intercontinental") yesterday filed a suit in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York against the New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., ("NYMEX") seeking to prevent NYMEX from abusing its monopoly power in the market for trading and clearing North American energy futures contracts and extending its monopoly into the market for over-the-counter ("OTC") energy trading.
