NASDAQ Second Quarter 2003 Results

The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. ("NASDAQ"; OTCBB: NDAQ), today reported a net loss of $49.0 million for the second quarter ended June 30, 2003. Excluding the impact of NASDAQ's strategic review, which includes costs associated with the elimination of non-core product lines, initiatives and severance, the net loss was $3.3 million for the period calculated on a Non-GAAP basis.
