Future On Dow Jones Italy Titans 30 Starts Trading On July 19 - Eurex Further Expands European Derivatives Range - Market Making Reduces Trading Costs And Boosts Liquidity

The international derivatives market Eurex is expanding its European derivatives range to include a future on the Dow Jones Italy Titans 30 index. Both institutional and retail investors now have the opportunity to trade futures on an Italian blue chip index as well as options on the 12 most liquid Italian stocks on Eurex. The Dow Jones Italy Titans 30 index contains the thirty largest and most liquid Italian stocks and meets European UCITS III requirements.

In advance of this week's Federal Open Market Committee meeting on June 30, the Chicago Board of Trade will be reporting daily rate change probabilities in the FOMC's federal funds target rate, as indicated by the CBOT® 30-Day Federal Funds futures contract. The CBOT 30-Day Federal Funds futures contract is a key benchmark interest rate barometer that reflects the forward overnight effective rate for excess reserves that are traded among commercial banks in the U.S. federal funds market.

Baltic Exchange To Introduce New Dry Freight Index

The Baltic Exchange has announced today that it plans to introduce a Baltic Supramax Index (BSI) which is intended to replace the existing Baltic Handymax Index (BHMI) on 3 January 2006. To ensure the continuity of the data, the Baltic will report on both the BHMI and BSI from 3 September 2005 until 23 December 2005.

ASX To Adopt Integrated Trading System

Further to the announcement of 22 April 2004, ASX is pleased to announce that it today signed agreements with OM Technology AB for the supply and support of a version of the CLICK XTTM Marketplace Solution, adapted to ASX's requirements, to enable all products currently traded on SEATS to be migrated to CLICK XTTM. As previously advised, ASX will be consulting customers about the migration timetable but on current estimates migration will commence in early-2006.

ASX Enters Into Agreement With OM For CLICK XT Integrated Trading Platform

The Australian Stock Exchange Limited (ASX) and OM Technology AB (OM) today signed a ten year agreement for the use of CLICK XT(TM) as the integrated trading platform for ASX's equity, derivatives and fixed income products. This deal will result in ASX becoming the first top-10 market to offer a fully integrated platform for the trading of all its listed securities. The Committee Of European Securities Regulators Launches A Call For Evidence On The Second Set Of Mandates From The European Commission On The Markets In Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID)

CESR publishes today a second set of mandates from the European Commission on the legislative measures to implement the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive. CESR’s advice on this second set of mandates must be submitted to the European Commission by the end of April 2005. To prepare this advice CESR welcomes interested parties to respond to the ‘Call for Evidence’ (Ref. CESR/04- 323) by 29 July 2004.
