NYSE Further Amends Proposed Constitution: Individual Investors To Be Represented On Board Of Executives

In a memorandum to New York Stock Exchange members, Interim Chairman and CEO John S. Reed said the Exchange's board of directors yesterday approved further amendments in the new constitution that is pending review by the Securities and Exchange Commission.

At it´s meeting 25 November, the Board of Oslo Børs resolved to impose a violation charge on Hands ASA equivalent to three times the company´s annual listing fee, for a breach of the obligation to prepare a prospectus in accordance with the company´s share issue in May 2003.

The Korea Stock Exchange (KSE) will compute and publish the Korea Corporate Governance Stock Price Index (KOGI) from December 1, 2003 in a bid to promote investors¡¯ interest in corporate governance and encourage listed companies to improve their corporate governance. The KOGI consists of 50 stocks with good corporate governance.

Clearstream Banking Frankfurt AG, in association with the Deutsche Bundesbank and several other central banks in the EU, has developed an innovative concept that simplifies the clearing and settlement of securities and lowers the costs for participants. The "guarantee concept" allows trading firms from participating countries to use central bank liquidity at their home central bank to secure securities transactions in the new Clearstream night-time processing arrangement introduced on 14 Novembe
