STOXX Ltd. To License Nine Indexes To Barclays Global Investors - First Growth, Value And Size Indexes To Be Used As Underlying For ETFs In Europe

STOXX Ltd., the leading European index provider, has licensed its six Dow Jones EURO STOXX Style indexes as well as the Dow Jones EURO STOXX Large, Mid and Small Cap indexes to Barclays Global Investors (BGI) as underlying indexes for exchange-traded funds (ETF). The first ETFs on the Dow Jones EURO STOXX Mid and Small cap indexes will be launched on November 1, 2004 in the U.K. Additional listings in the U.K. and Continental Europe are expected soon afterwards, subject to regulatory approval.

SET Executive Vice President Mrs. Patareeya Benjapolchai, who acts as the Secretary of the SET Board of Governors, disclosed that on Oct.27 the SET Board approved the SET’s business plan for 2005, which consists of 26 work plans.
