Court Hearings Conclude; eSpeed Has No Patent Infringement Case Against OMX Technology

As announced in 2003, OMX Technology in its capacity as software supplier to BrokerTec, a US electronic fixed income marketplace, is among those that eSpeed has sued in a US court for alleged patent infringement. The district court hearings are now concluded and resulted in, among other things, that the patent infringement case against OMX Technology would not be tried. This means that OMX Technology faces no liability claims.

Tokyo Grain Exchange Signs Contract With Patsystems To Create Continuous Market For Rice Futures Contracts

The Tokyo Grain Exchange announced that TGE entered into a contract with Patsystems to develop a next generation of continuous trading platform for rice futures contract which is under consideration. This is TGE’s first attempt to design a continuous market for futures trading.

The Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM), one of the largest commodity futures exchanges in the world has signed an agreement with SMARTS Pty Ltd for the SMARTS real-time market surveillance system. Six New iShares ETFs To Start In The XTF Segment On Xetra; First ETF On Chinese Index Available For Trading In Germany/ XTF Segment With Larg-Est Selection Of International ETFs

Deutsche Börse is further expanding its XTF segment for exchange-traded index funds. Starting Tuesday, February 22, six new exchange-traded funds (ETFs) issued by Barclays Global Investors (BGI) will be available for trading in XTF. This also includes the first ETF on a Chinese index that can be traded via a stock exchange in Germany.
