ICE Announces Listing Of Ten New Cleared OTC Contracts Beginning March 24

IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE), the leading electronic energy marketplace, announced that it will list ten new cleared contracts in its electronic over-the-counter (OTC) markets for trading beginning Friday, March 24. These contracts follow the ten contracts listed earlier in the month and are part of the company’s plans to introduce 50 new cleared contracts in the first half of 2006.

The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and the Office of the Agricultural Futures Trading Commission of Thailand (AFTC) today entered into an Understanding Regarding Regulatory Cooperation, Consultation, and the Provision of Technical Assistance (Arrangement). CFTC Chairman Reuben Jeffery III and Secretary-General Chaipat Sahasakul of the AFTC signed the Arrangement at a meeting of international regulators in Boca Raton, Florida.

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced today that reported trading volume at CBOE on Thursday, March 16th was more than 5.7 million contracts, setting a new all-time record for the busiest single trading day in the Exchange's 33-year history. The previous record of 5.3 million contracts was set at CBOE on January 20, 2006.
