Eurex, the international derivatives exchange, is reporting another new record in trading volume for the year 2003. Based on the preliminary figures, which include an estimate for the last six exchange-trading days of the year, a total of 1.012 billion contracts have been traded and cleared in 2003, compared with 801 million contracts the year before. Deutsche Boerse - 3.4 Trillion Euros In Turnover On German Stock Exchanges In 2003 - Most Successful Year For XTF Segment - Xetra Share Of Equities Trading Rises Further
Based on the preliminary year-end figures for 2003, which include an estimate for the last five trading days of the year, a total volume of about 3.4 trillion euros was traded on the German stock exchanges in 2003 (2002: 3.5 trillion euros). Change To ISMA's Rulebook Will Reduce Risk In The International Securities Market
The International Securities Market Association (ISMA) has today announced a change to its rules and recommendations governing trading in the international securities market by bringing ISMA's rulebook more in line with the TBMA/ISMA Global Master Repurchase Agreement (GMRA). The rule change, shortening the minimum buy-in period between a failure to deliver securities and the execution of a buy-in from the market from 12 to 5 business days, will take effect from January 1, 2004.

CBOT® Announces The Promotion Of Bryan T. Durkin To Executive Vice President And Chief Operating Officer
The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) today announced the promotion of Bryan T. Durkin from Senior Vice President to a newly created position of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). In this new role, Durkin will have management responsibilities for all of the Exchange's trading operations, both screen-based and open auction.

CBOE Members Approve Plan For Expansion Of Hybrid Trading System
The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), the world's largest options exchange, today announced that its members voted to implement the second phase of CBOEdirect HyTS, CBOE's unique hybrid trading system. The planned rollout, dubbed HyTS 2.0, is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2004, pending SEC approval.
