Wiener Börse Index Comparison: Markets On The Rise In March

March was a generally good month for markets. The ATX improved long-term performance from 279% to 286%, while the Dow Jones advanced from 1.15% to 2.21%. The indices SMI, FTSE, DAX and CAC 40 checked their negative performance. Only the BUX reported losses in March.

The SWX Swiss Exchange has instituted a formal investigation against Swisscom AG on the grounds of a possible breach of Art. 74a of the Listing Rules (disclosure of management transactions). Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Operations announces the following index changes effective after the close of business on Friday, April 7, 2006: Brookfield Asset Management Inc. SEC Files Emergency Action To Stop Ongoing Microcap Stock Fraud

The Securities and Exchange Commission today filed an emergency enforcement action in federal court charging two New York men, Faisal Zafar and Sameer Thawani, with perpetrating an ongoing securities fraud over the Internet.
