CBOT Metals Complex Volume Surpasses 40,000 Contracts

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®), announced today that its Precious Metals futures complex achieved a new daily volume record on March 30, 2006, as total volume exceeded 40,000 contracts for the first time. The CBOT Metals futures complex includes full-sized and mini-sized Gold and Silver futures contracts.

Alitalia Will Replace Banca Antonveneta In The S&P/MIB Index

Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P/MIB Index, effective at the open of business, Wednesday 5 April 2006: Alitalia, (Italy, ISIN IT0003918577) will replace Banca Antonveneta (Italy, ISIN IT0003270102) in the S&P/MIB Index, following the results of the Public Tender Offer launched on Banca Antonveneta ordinary shares. Acceptances have now exceeded the 91% threshold.

Agri-Fax Announces New Ownership Structure, New Direction - Sale Of Its Business Infrastructure To NZX

North Canterbury-based rural data company Agri-Fax has completed the sale of its business infrastructure to NZX ( New Zealand Exchange Limited). The deal will see NZX conduct a phased takeover of the operational side of the business, whilst freeing up Agri-Fax founders Rod McKenzie and David Meares to concentrate on developing new products and services for the business.

The Warsaw Stock Exchange WIG, all share index, closed at a new high of 40 115,91 points. The previous closing high was 40 073,44 on February 27, 2006.

UK's Financial Services Authority Consults On Listing Rule Changes And Transparency Directive

Tokyo Commodity Exchange: Default Of MMG Arrows Co., Ltd

Pursuant to Article 68 (Action against nonpayment) of the Business Method Manual of the Japan Commodity Clearing House Co., Ltd. (JCCH), a notice was issued by JCCH on March 30, 2006 that MMG Arrows Co., Ltd., a broker member of TOCOM, failed to pay mark to market losses (1,358,930 yen) by noon of March 30 to JCCH.

The S&P/MIB Index, the headline index for the Italian equity market, is outpacing its European counterparts as the top dividend payer in the region, according to analysis by Standard & Poor’s, the world’s leading provider of indices.
