CBOE June Volume Surges 39%; Biggest Monthly Year-To-Year Gain In 2005

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced today that June trading volume at CBOE was 36,885,731 contracts traded, 39% higher than the 26,545,956 contracts traded in June 2004. The 39% increase in volume represented the biggest monthly year-to-year gain thus far in 2005 at CBOE. Boston Options Exchange Sets New Market Share Record, Expands Market Coverage By Listing Seventy-five New Classes

BOX’s share of OCC cleared equity option volume was 6.2% for June, 2005, a new record and the first time BOX has topped 6%; BOX market share for all OCC cleared options was 5.6%, also a record as BOX listed 75 new option classes during the month.

AIM Crowns Its Tenth Year With New Fundraising And Admissions Record As Companies Rush To Market To Beat New Prospectus Directive Rules

The AIM market has crowned its tenth year in operation by completing its strongest ever quarter of activity in terms of new admissions and money raised during the second quarter of 2005. Between April and June a total of 144 companies have been admitted to the market, a number which represents an increase of 90% on the same quarter last year. SWX Swiss Exchange Technology Now In Germany – New Platform For Exchange Trading In Certificated Derivatives And Structured Products

The SWX Swiss Exchange is linking its new, high-performance system for trading in certificated derivatives with the German Xontro order routing system. The planned German exchange is the successor organisation to the Bremer Wertpapierbörse AG, which was taken over in full by the SWX Swiss Exchange on 4 July 2005.

Standard & Poor's Announces Changes In The S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index

Standard & Poor's will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on Thursday, June 30, 2005: Aurora Platinum Corp. (TSXVN:ARP) will be removed from the index. The company will be delisted from the TSX Venture Exchange as a result of the completion of a plan of arrangement whereby FNX Mining Company (TSX:FNX) has acquired all the shares of Aurora Platinum.
