Personnel Changes At NZX Reflects Its Changes In Priorities

I want to inform you of a couple of important personnel moves at NZX. Firstly, Carl Daucher, Head of Strategy and Finance, will be leaving NZX prior to his wedding in the U.S. in July 2006. Carl has been with us for four years and the key aspects of his focus during this time have been the capital market infrastructure and connectivity strategy. NYMEX And General Atlantic Complete $160 Million Equity Investment In NYMEX

NYMEX Holdings, Inc. (NYMEX) and General Atlantic LLC (GA) announced today the completion of GA's investment of $160 million for a 10% equity stake in NYMEX. Under the terms of the transaction, which values NYMEX's equity at $1.6 billion, GA purchased only an equity stake in NYMEX and not any trading rights on the Exchange.

The contract currently trades from 7:55 am to 9:00 am (New York Time).

New Distribution Of Duties Between The Danish Financial Supervisory Authority And The Copenhagen Stock Exchange

As of 1 September 2006, the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority will approve prospectuses and consider cases involving takeover bids. The Danish Financial Supervisory Authority has made this decision in agreement with the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. The new distribution of duties corresponds to the way the duties are carried out in other European countries, including Sweden and Finland.

The CME Center for Innovation (CFI) today announced the selection of Leo Melamed, CME Chairman Emeritus and Chairman and CEO of Melamed & Associates, a global consulting firm, as the recipient of the 2005 CME Fred Arditti Innovation Award. CME, the world's largest and most diverse financial exchange, established CFI in 2003 to recognize and encourage continued innovation.

Jim McConnell, SEC Executive Director, Retires

The Securities and Exchange Commission announced today that Jim McConnell, the agency's Executive Director for the past 16 years, intends to retire at the beginning of June. For the next two months, McConnell will assist with transition efforts and intends to pursue private sector options starting in the fall.
