Futures & Options On The RTS Stock Exchange: July 2005 Monthly Data

In July 2005 total trading volume on FORTS (Futures & Options on the RTS) equaled 37,7 billion rubles and 3,8 million contracts compared with 32 billion rubles and 3,5 million contracts in June. Total open interest as of July 29, 2005, increased by 24% in rubles and by 18% in contracts and amounted to 1,6 billion rubles and 1,8 million contracts, and therefore reached its historical maximum.

CBOT Fed Watch - August 5 Market Close

In advance of next week's Federal Open Market Committee meeting on August 9, the Chicago Board of Trade will be reporting daily rate change probabilities in the FOMC's federal funds target rate, as indicated by the CBOT 30-Day Federal Funds futures contract. The CBOT 30-Day Federal Funds futures contract is a key benchmark interest rate barometer that reflects the forward overnight effective rate for excess reserves that are traded among commercial banks in the U.S. federal funds market.

The Philadelphia Stock Exchange Creates Sector Index License Program For Otc Structured Products“ - Agreement Signed With Six Banks ”

The Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX) announced today that it has created a Sector Index license program for use in the OTC market, notably the PHLX Housing Sector sm (HGXsm) and the PHLX/ KBW Bank Index (BKXsm). PHLX has entered into license agreements with Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, UBS, ABN AMRO, Royal Bank of Canada, and Goldman Sachs.
