Eurex Launches Two New Dutch Equity Options - Equity Options On Rodamco Europe And TomTom Available For Trading From 20 March

Eurex, the world's largest derivatives exchange, will be launching options on the Dutch equities Rodamco Europe and TomTom on 20 March. The two stocks have recently been included in the Dutch AEX index. This move brings the total of options offered by the world’s largest derivatives market on Dutch equities to 26, providing full coverage of the AEX index. A contract for the new product comprises 100 shares, and has a maximum maturity of 60 months.

Dow Jones Indexes And Citigroup To Launch First Islamic Bond Index

Dow Jones Indexes and Citigroup Corporate and Investment Banking, both leading global index providers, today announced that they intend to launch the Dow Jones Citigroup Sukuk Index, the first index that seeks to measure the performance of global bonds complying with Islamic investment guidelines.

Deutsche Börse continues to expand its XTF segment for exchange-traded index funds. Since Monday 18 March new exchange-traded funds (ETFs) from the issuer INDEXCHANGE Investment AG have been tradable in XTF, these track the 18 supersectors of the Dow Jones STOXX 600 index. This increases the number of exchange-traded index funds (ETFs) listed in the XTF segment to 113.

International investment and advisory firm Babcock & Brown Limited (ASX: BNB) has been granted a license by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) to operate as an authorised firm in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). Babcock & Brown has established a subsidiary within the DIFC for its investment activity in the region.

Archipelago Holdings, Inc. (PCX: AX) today announced its February 2006 market transaction volume data for the Archipelago Exchange (ArcaEx(R)) and the Pacific Exchange (PCX). Specifically, in NYSE-listed equity securities, ArcaEx's total trading market share was 5.0% in February 2006, up from 2.3% in February 2005 and unchanged from 5.0% in January 2006.
