SWX Indices: Adjustments To SMI®, SMIM® And SLI® Composition And SPI® Small/Mid/Large Breakdown

The Management Committee of the SWX Swiss Exchange has decided to make changes to SWX index baskets on the basis of a recommendation from the Index Commission and in compliance with the SMI®, SLI® and SPI® index rules. The indices will be adjusted on 21 September 2007 after closing. The adjustment takes effect on 24 September 2007.

The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has today published a discussion paper that considers the potential issues raised for the FSA's oversight of markets for multilateral trading facility (MTF) shares. This is as a result of the proposed modernisation by Her Majesty's Treasury (HMT) of stamp duty relief on the trading of shares.
