CBOT Metals Complex Sets Volume Records

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) today announced that trading in its Metals complex achieved all-time daily volume records on January 5, 2007. The CBOT’s Metals complex reached a volume of 115,590 contracts. The previous record, 103,697 contracts, was set on November 28, 2006.

NASD today unveiled its newly developed NASD Arbitration Awards Online database. The database's enhanced search capability enables users to search for awards by case number, by keywords within awards, by arbitrator names, by date ranges set by the user and by any combination of those features. Arbitration Awards from January 1989 through the present will be available in the new database.

The Philadelphia Stock Exchange announced today that equity option volume in 2006 reached an all-time high when 265,370,986 contracts traded compared to 2005 when 156,222,382 contracts traded. This 69.9% year-over-year growth represents the largest percentage growth in equity options volume of all of the U.S. options exchanges in 2006.
