CBOE May Volume Of 77.6 Million Rises 10% Vs Year Ago - Trading In Equity Options Sets New Monthly Record

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced today that trading volume for the month of May totaled 77,617,777 contracts, an increase of 10% versus the 70.5 million contracts traded during May 2006 and an increase of 13% compared to the 68.4 million contracts traded during April 2007. For the month of May, average daily volume was 3,528,081 contracts.

Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P/ASX 50 Index effective after the close of trading on Wednesday, June 6, 2007: GPT Group (Australia, SEDOL: 6365866, GICS Code: 40402010), a member of the S&P/ASX 50 Index, will increase its shares to 2,053,635,370 as a result of the company’s distribution-reinvestment plan.

BOX’s Average Improvement Increases In May, Volume Hits Year High

In the month of May, price improvement versus the prevailing NBBO for contracts submitted via the Boston Options Exchange’s (“BOX”) price improvement auction (‘PIP’*) averaged $2.86 per contract, an increase over April’s $2.80. An average of 69,110 contracts per day received price improvement during the month. This represented savings to investors of $4.3 million.

A New List Of Shares For Calculating The RTS-2 Index Has Been Aapproved

The information committee of OJSC Russian Trading System Stock Exchange has approved the list of shares for calculation of the RTS –2 Index. From June 15 to September 14, 2007 the list, formed on the basis of statistical data on trading for the period from February 16 to May 15, 2007will be in effect.

156 Million Contracts Traded At Eurex In May - Fixed Income Derivatives Strongest Segment With 58 Million Contracts

The international derivatives exchange Eurex reported today that in May 2007 trading volumes reached 156 million contracts (May 2006: 174 million). Average daily trading volume at Eurex was 7.4 million contracts. Total trading volumes on Eurex in the first 5 months reached 774 million contracts, up 15 percent year-on-year. Open interest, an indicator for future growth, increased to 126 million contracts.

Deutsche Börse: 11 Percent Rise In Turnover On Xetra In May - Total Volume Of €233 Billion Traded On All Stock Exchanges In Germany

In May €212.7 billion were turned over on Xetra and on the floor of Börse Frankfurt – a rise of 10 percent year-on-year (May 2006: €193 billion). Thereof €198,5 billion were traded on Xetra gaining 11 percent year-on-year (May 2006: €178.5 billion) and €14.2 billion on the floor. German equities accounted for €200 billion, foreign equities comprising €12 billion. More than 97 percent of the transaction volume with German equities was executed at Börse Frankfurt.
