CBOT 2-Yr. U.S. Treasury Note Futures Set New Record - CBOT Total Daily Volume Reaches 3rd Highest Level In Exchange History
The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) announced yesterday that CBOT Two-Year U.S. Treasury Note futures traded a record-breaking 339,974 contracts on August 30, 2005, surpassing the previous high of 295,190 contracts set on May 27, 2005. Total Exchange daily volume hit 5,377,433 contracts, the CBOT’s third highest volume day ever.

Boston Options Exchange Continues Trend Of Growth With Strong August Showing, Volume Up 325% Over 2004
BOX’s share of total OCC equity option volume was 6.5% for August 2005 while the BOX share of total OCC option volume reached 5.9% and market share for the 504 equity options listed on BOX was 7.8%. Each of these percentages represents the second best month in BOX’s 18 months of operation as each is within 0.1% it’s respective record.

August Volume Of 41.2m Is Busiest Month In CBOE History - Numerous Volume Records Set, Including Total Monthly Index Volume
The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced today that August trading volume at CBOE was 41,245,104 contracts, setting a new CBOE all-time trading record for total monthly volume, surpassing the previous record of 40,713,355 contract traded in April 2005. The 41.2 million contracts traded in August 2005 was 53% higher than the 26,894,775 contracts traded in August 2004. August 2005 Volume: CME Reports Average Daily Volume Of 3.7 Million Contracts In August 2005, Up 27 Percent From Year-Ago Period - CME Sets Multiple Single-Day Trading Records On August 31, Including Total Volume Of Nearly 10 Million Contracts
CME, the largest U.S. futures exchange, today said average daily volume in August was 3.7 million contracts, up 27 percent from the same period a year ago. Total monthly volume was more than 85 million contracts. Average daily volume on the CME® Globex® electronic trading platform averaged 2.6 million contracts, a 42 percent increase from August 2004. Electronic trading represented 69 percent of total CME volume in August, compared with 62 percent in the prior-year period.

August 2005 - Euronext Key Indicators - Cash Transactions Up 9.7% Since January, 29.3% Year-On-Year - Busiest August Ever - Derivatives Products Up 3% Year-To-Date, 14% Year-On-Year

Warsaw Exchange Announces The WIG Index New All-Time High
The WIG, all-share index, closed at its highest ever level since its launch in April 1991. The market benchmark reached today the new all time high with 31,364.29 points. The previous record was set on August 30, 2005 with 31,362.39.

TFEX And TCH Accept 20 Pioneer Brokers As Members
The Thailand Futures Exchange Pcl. (TFEX) and Thailand Clearing House Co. Ltd. (TCH) have approved 20 members as futures brokers. These firms will participate in a system test in October. An additional 12 members may be accepted within the next 6 months.

SeDeX, the Borsa Italiana’s securitised derivatives market (covered warrant and certificates), recorded in July a 339,5% increase in turnover in comparison with July 2004; the average daily turnover was equal to 201 million euro and the average daily number of contracts equal to 16.000 (+19% vs July 2004).
