Changes To The S&P/ASX Index Suite Positions Australia Well In A Dynamic Global Marketplace

Standard & Poor’s Index Services Australia (S&P Index) and its index partner, the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), today announced changes to Australia’s premier index series. The changes allow the inclusion of foreign-domiciled stocks on the core S&P/ASX suite of indices, and will result in a more-fully diversified investible benchmark.

The Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) and China Securities Index Co., Ltd. (CSI) have recently published the adjusted industry classification of SSE listed companies according to the annual reports of 2006. Such regular adjustment helps to better reflect the listed companies' industry structures and enhance the investment research for market participants. Moreover, it facilitates investors' tracing and studying of such indices as the SSE 180 Index and the SSE 50 Index.

Standard & Poor's will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on Thursday, May 31, 2007: Integrated Asset Management Corp. (TSXVN:IAM) will be removed from the index. The company will graduate to the TSX and will trade under the same ticker symbol.

CBOT® Two-Year U.S. Treasury Note Futures Set Daily Volume Record As Total Surpasses One Million Contracts For The First Time

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) today announced that trading of its 2-year U.S. Treasury Note futures contracts (2-year note) set a record on Wednesday, as volume exceeded one million contracts for the first time. The record, 1,010,988 contracts, surpasses the previous record of 919,136 contracts set on February 27, 2007.
