Shanghai Stock Exchange: Social Responsibility Highlighted In Corporate Governance

Vice President Zhou Qinye of the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE), who attended the symposium "Give Full Play to Capital Market for Central China Rise", said in an interview with the Shanghai Securities News that corporate governance should step quickly into the 2nd stage at a higher level to highlight the social function and responsibility of listed companies for their positive roles in social obligation.

Standard & Poor's Announces The S&P Canadian Bond Index Rebalancing Report For June 2007

Standard & Poor's has completed the monthly rebalancing of the S&P Canadian Bond Index. According to index methodology, the universe of Canadian bonds is exhaustively reviewed to reflect changes in par amount and term to existing index constituents. Qualifying new issues are added to the index and existing constituents that no longer meet the criteria for inclusion are removed.

(NYSE: BOT) today announced that the Transaction Committee of the Board of Directors of CBOT Holdings, pursuant to the power granted to it by the Board of Directors, declared a one-time, conditional special cash dividend in the amount of $9.14 per share, payable to the holders of record of CBOT Holdings’ Class A common stock as of the close of business on July 5, 2007.

In advance of this week's Federal Open Market Committee meeting on June 28, the Chicago Board of Trade will be reporting daily rate change probabilities in the FOMC's federal funds target rate, as indicated by the CBOT 30-Day Federal Funds futures contract. The CBOT 30-Day Federal Funds futures contract is a key benchmark interest rate barometer that reflects the forward overnight effective rate for excess reserves that are traded among commercial banks in the U.S. federal funds market.

NYSE Group Volume Reaches New Record Of 5.2 Billion Shares Traded - NYSE Sets Records In Crossing Session Volume And Orders At The Close

NYSE Euronext (NYSE Euronext: NYX) today announced that NYSE Group volume reached a new all-time record with nearly 5.2 billion shares traded on Friday, June 22, 2007, significantly above the previous record of 4.1 billion shares traded on Feb. 27, 2007. Investors seeking NYSE closing prices facilitated heavy trading at the close resulting in record Crossing Session II volume of almost 1.4 billion shares traded.

SEC Adds Software Tool For Investors Seeking Information On Companies’ Activities In Countries Known To Sponsor Terrorism

In the latest of a series of steps to use the Internet and interactive computer technology to make public company disclosures more accessible to investors, Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Christopher Cox today announced that the SEC has added to its Web site a software tool that permits investors to obtain information directly from company disclosure documents about their business interests in countries the U.S. Secretary of State has designated “State Sponsors of Terrorism.”

Today, ICICI Bank Ltd. (NYSE: IBN), India's largest private sector bank by assets, completed the largest offering by an Indian company, raising $4.3 billion in a global follow-on offering, half in the form of ADRs (excluding greenshoe). Trading of the additional ADRs began today, June 25th.
