NYSE Receives China Securities Regulatory Commission Approval To Open Representative Office in Beijing, China - First Approval Given To A Foreign Exchange Under China’s New Regulation

The China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) has approved an application by New York Stock Exchange LLC (NYSE), a subsidiary of NYSE Euronext (NYX), to open a representative office in Beijing, China. The new office will be occupied by the company’s staff in the coming weeks and will become the NYSE’s center of operations for advancing the company’s brand and service to its listed companies in China.

Kansas City Board Of Trade Sets New Monthly Volume Record For Wheat Futures Contract

The Kansas City Board of Trade set a new all-time monthly trading volume record in the hard red winter wheat futures contract as 565,463 contracts were traded, topping the previous monthly record of 559,282 contracts that was set in August 2006.

Shanghai Stock Exchange: Overall Performance In Semi-annual Reports Of 2007

As of August 31, 2007, the 852 companies listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) had disclosed the semi-annual reports of 2007 as scheduled. The semi-annual reports show a dramatic increase in overall performance of the SSE listed companies. The total business income in the first half of 2007 boasts a year-on-year increase of 24.9%, with a year-on-year net profit increase of 69.2%. The weighted average earning per share was RMB0.204, with the weighted average return on net assets of 7.78%.

MGEX Sets All-Time Spring Wheat Futures Volume, Open Interest Records; Positions For Future Growth

Strong trading in August led the Minneapolis Grain Exchange (MGEX or Exchange) to end its fiscal year with new volume and open interest records in several categories.
