Despite operating in a politically turbulent environment, Eu-ropean Energy Exchange AG (EEX) has once again demonstrated its strengths, achie-ving record results for the financial year 2006, together with a number of strategic and operative milestones. Due to a significant growth in the number of trading participants and an increase in trading volume of more than 100 per cent, EEX has been able to improve both its sales revenue and its annual profit by more than 60 per cent.

OMX Strong Intellectual Property Rights Confirmed

The United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has affirmed the decision of the District Court declaring that eSpeed’s patent is held unenforceable. As a consequence OMX no longer faces any liability claims.

Corus Group To Leave FTSE 100, Schroders To Enter

Corus Group is to exit the FTSE 100, after its takeover by Indian steel company Tata Steel. Corus will no longer be in the FTSE 100 from the start of trading on 30th March 2007, and will be replaced in the blue chip index by Schroders.
