London Stock Exchange Monthly Market Report March 2007 - SETS Trades Top 500,000 Per Day During March, Increase Of 76 Per Cent On Last March

The average daily number of trades on SETS, the London Stock Exchange’s electronic order book, exceeded half a million for the first time during March 2007, reaching 508,425. This was an increase of 76 per cent on March last year and reflects the fact that fourteen of the twenty busiest trading days recorded on SETS took place during the month.

IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE), the leading electronic energy marketplace and soft commodity exchange, announced that the New York Board of Trade (NYBOT) established a new daily electronic volume record of 147,958 contracts on Monday, April 9.
