NYSE To Suspend, Apply To Delist Republic Of Cuba 4 ½% Bonds Due 6/30/1977
The New York Stock Exchange announced today that trading in the 4 ½% bonds of the Republic of Cuba due 6/30/1977 will be suspended immediately. The issue has been halted and unavailable for trading on the NYSE since July 6, 1995 . Following suspension, application will be made to the Securities and Exchange Commission to delist the issue.

Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P Japan 500 and S&P Japan SmallCap 250 Indices effective after the close of trading Thursday, January 11th 2007: GMO Internet Inc (Japan, SEDOL: 6170167, GICS: Information Technology, GICS Code: 45101010) a member of the S&P Japan SmallCap 250 and S&P Japan 500 indices, shares will increase by 10,000,000 to 72,128,378 and IWF will be updated to 0.525 due to the private placement.

Administrative Law Judge Lillian McEwen To Retire From SEC
Administrative Law Judge Lillian A. McEwen has announced that she is retiring from her position with the SEC, effective Jan. 3, 2007. Federal Identity Theft Task Force Seeks Public Comment
The President's Identity Theft Task Force announced that it is seeking public comment on various possible recommendations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the federal government's efforts to reduce identity theft. The Task Force is chaired by Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzales and co-chaired by Federal Trade Commission Chairman Deborah Platt Majoras and participants include the Securities and Exchange Commission and other federal agencies.

CBOE 2006 Volume Shatters All Previous Records - CBOE Seat Prices Up 100% For The Year
The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), the largest options exchange in the U.S., announced that 2006 will go on the books as the third consecutive record breaking year, with more than 670 million contracts trading, an increase of 43% over 2005 total volume of 468 million contracts. Average daily volume has been 2.7 million contracts this year?up 88% from 2004, and more than double 2003's volume of 1.13 million contracts per day.
