Urbana Corporation Pleased With Chicago Board Options Exchange Settlement

Yesterday, the Chicago Board Options Exchange ('CBOE') announced that it has reached a settlement with the plaintiffs in a class action suit launched by the former members of the Chicago Board of Trade. This suit had been the major impediment to the CBOE management's plan to demutualize and launch an Initial Public Offering ('IPO'). The settlement is subject to court approval and a CBOE member vote. Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Christopher Cox today announced that Steven B. Harris has been appointed to the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB). Mr. Harris, a former long-time Senate Banking Committee official who played a key role in the legislation that created the PCAOB, was unanimously selected by the Commission to fill a recent vacancy on the Board. He will assume his position on June 9.
