SGX Adopts Measures To Facilitate Secondary Fund Raising By Listed Issuers

Singapore Exchange Limited (“SGX”), in consultation with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (“MAS”), is taking steps to facilitate secondary fund raising by listed issuers in a timely manner. These measures will assist listed issuers seeking equity funding from their shareholders under the current global market environment of reduced credit availability.

The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has today published a consultation paper (CP) that clarifies the FSA’s expectations of those within firms that perform a ‘significant influence’ function.  The CP proposes amendments to the FSA handbook to extend the approved persons regime and sets out how the FSA is enhancing its scrutiny of senior management competence.
