FSA Confirms Industry Guidance On Outsourcing

FTSE Xinhua Launches Sector Indices For A200 Benchmark
FTSE Xinhua Index (FXI), the leading China index provider, today announced the launch of FTSE Xinhua 200 Sector Indices on A shares, which include 38 sectors classified according to the Industry Classification Benchmark (ICB). The new indices will be distributed from today with the base date at June 18, 2001.

Shanghai Stock Exchange Publishes "Detailed Rules For Designated Trading"
The "SSE Detailed Rules for Designated Trading", issued by the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) yesterday, made modifications to the "Trial Measures on Overall Designated Trading System" issued in 1997 in line with the newly implemented "Trading Rules" (implemented on July 1, 2006) and the "Detailed Rules for Implementation of PBUs" (implemented on May 8, 2007). The new "Rules" will be implemented as of today (May 15, 2007), with the "Trial Measures" abolished at the same time.

MICEX: Agreement On Order And Terms Of Purchases And Sales Of Foreign Currency
The MICEX has worked out the draft Trading Agreement, prepared in the framework of the project to transfer clearing functions in the exchange-based currency market to the National Clearing Center (NCC). Soon, the MICEX will submit the draft Trading Agreement to the Bank of Russia and leading operators in the exchange-based currency market. HKFE Announces Revised Margins For H-Shares Index Futures Contract
Hong Kong Futures Exchange Limited (HKFE), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), announced that with effect from the commencement of trading on Thursday, 17 May 2007, the minimum margins to be collected by an Exchange Participant from its clients in respect of their dealings in the following futures contract will be as outlined in the table below. The adjustments are based on the clearing company's normal procedures and standard margining methodology.
