MGEX Shatters Daily Electronic Trading Volume Record

MGEX (Exchange) today announced a new electronic trading volume record of 18,592 contracts. The number marks a 67 percent increase over the previous record of 11,146 set June 3, 2009. Trading of Hard Red Spring Wheat (HRSW) futures totaled 18,563 contracts while 29 Soft Red Winter Wheat Index (SRWI) futures contracts traded on the day.
