Warsaw Stock Exchange Becomes A Shareholder Of The Sibiu Monetary Financial And Commodities Exchange
On 12 October 2007, the Warsaw Stock Exchange became a shareholder of the monetary and derivatives exchange Bursa Monetar Financiara si de Marfuri in Sibiu (Romania) following the WSE’s participation in an increase of the Sibiu Exchange capital and the allotment of shares representing 1.8% of the Sibiu Exchange share capital to the WSE.

Trading Volume Of Futures Contracts On RTS Index Has Exceeded $1 Billion
On October 11, 2007 on FORTS (Futures and Options on RTS) there was registered a record trading volume of futures on RTS Index. By the trading results of the day, the trading volume made up 261 384 contracts or 28,5 billion rubles.

Deutsche Börse And Bank Sarasin Launch Sustainability Indices - DAXglobal Sarasin Sustainability Indices Track Companies In Germany And Switzerland
Deutsche Börse has launched two new indices in cooperation with Bank Sarasin: DAXglobal Sarasin Sustainability Germany Index tracks the performance of companies with sustainable performance registered in Germany, while DAXglobal Sarasin Sustainability Switzerland Index tracks Swiss companies with sustainable performance. The index for Germany currently comprises 34 companies; the Swiss index 27.

Clearstream’s Core Business Continues Its Growth In September 2007
Clearstream processed 2.02 million international transactions in September 2007, a 16 percent rise over September 2006 (1.75 million). Of these transactions, 81 percent were Over the Counter (OTC) transactions and 19 percent were registered as stock exchange transactions. Domestic settlement transactions in Germany stood at 3.14 million compared to 2.63 million for the same month last year (a rise of 19 percent). FINRA Announces Small Firm Emergency Partner Program - Voluntary Initiative Designed To Help Firms Serve Customers During Disruptions
