SICOM Secures Licence To Roll Out New Commodity Classes

Singapore Commodity Exchange (SICOM), a subsidiary of Singapore Exchange (SGX), has secured a new licence to operate a Commodity Market and Clearing House under the Commodity Trading Act (CTA), the only such licence currently issued by International Enterprise Singapore. This new licence is in addition to SICOM’s existing recognised market operator licence under the Securities And Futures Act.

The 2008 financial crisis was global in nature and requires a comprehensive, international response. That response must include regulatory reform of the over-the-counter derivatives marketplace.

Kansas City Board Of Trade Posts Third-Largest February Trading Volume

The Kansas City Board of Trade trading volume for the month of February posted large gains over February 2009 and January 2010 volume and was the third largest for the calendar month in the history of the exchange. A total of 375,311 contracts were traded during the month of February, 25.1 percent more than in February 2009 and 31.4 percent more than were traded last month.

SEC: Fee Rate Advisory #5 For Fiscal Year 2010

Pursuant to Section 31 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, the Commission has determined that a mid-year adjustment to the Section 31 transaction fee rate is necessary. Effective on April 1, 2010, the Section 31 transaction fee rate will be set at $16.90 per million.

February Is Third Busiest Month On Record At CFE - Trading Volume Up 359% Over Year Ago

The CBOE Futures Exchange, LLC (CFE) today announced that February 2010 was the third-busiest trading month on record at the Exchange. A total of 188,236 contracts traded at CFE during February, up 359 percent compared to 41,051 contracts traded in February 2009, but down 15 percent from January 2010, when an all-time high of 221,025 contracts traded.

Boerse Stuttgart Achieves A Trading Volume Of EUR 7.3 Billion In February - Trading In International Equities Increases By 114 Percent In A Year-On-Year Comparison - Turnover In Securitised Derivatives At Previous Year's Level - Volumes More Than Treble F

Boerse Stuttgart's order book statistics showed a trading volume of EUR 7.3 billion in February 2010. Trading in equities saw some strong growth and with a volume of EUR 709 million (98 percent) had almost doubled in comparison with February 2009. International equities accounted for a volume of EUR 187.4 million. This means that turnover was up by 114 percent compared with February 2009. Turnover in German equities reached EUR 521.5 million, equivalent to a growth of 94 percent in comparison
