Standard & Poor's Announces Changes In The S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index

Standard & Poor's will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on Tuesday, November 24, 2009: The shares of Northern Continental Resources Inc. (TSXVN:NCR) will be removed from the index following the completion of an Arrangement Agreement with Hathor Exploration Limited (TSX:HAT).

The Securities and Exchange Commission has obtained an emergency court order freezing the assets of a self-proclaimed Minneapolis-based money manager, a nationally syndicated radio personality and four companies they controlled in a foreign currency trading scheme that raised at least $190 million from more than 1,000 investors.

Electronic trading of futures and options on MGEX (Exchange) yesterday reached 9,789 contracts, making November 23 the fifth best electronic trading day in Exchange history. Trading of Hard Red Spring Wheat (HRSW) futures totaled 9,726, while 13 HRSW options traded electronically. Electronic trading of Soft Red Winter Wheat Index (SRWI) futures totaled 50 contracts.
