Euroclear's Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Ignace Combes, To Retire In 2010

Euroclear announces today the planned retirement of Ignace R. Combes, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Euroclear SA/NV, by mid-2010 at which time he will reach his contractual retirement age of 60 after a 34-year career with JP Morgan and Euroclear, most of which was at Euroclear.

Highlights - Securities Market The average daily turnover for the first eight months of 2009 was $61,313 million, a decrease of 24 per cent when compared with $80,764 million for the same period last year. The average daily turnover of CBBCs for the first eight months of 2009 was $6,820 million, an increase of 112 per cent when compared with $3,222 million for the same period last year.
