  • CBOE Futures Exchange, LLC Experiences Ninth Consecutive Month Of Year-Over-Year Volume Increases - Sets Third Consecutive Quarterly Trading Record

    The CBOE Futures Exchange, LLC (CFE) today announced that June 2010 trading volume totaled 261,441 contracts, compared to 66,254 contracts during June 2009.  June marked the ninth consecutive month in which total volume registered an increase when comparing year-over-year trading activity.  June's volume declined 46 percent from the record 481,650 contracts that traded during May 2010. 

  • Options Clearing Corporation Half Year Volume Reaches 2 Billion Contracts

    The Options Clearing Corporation announced today that 2,014,209,214 total options contracts changed hands in the first half of 2010 representing an 11% percent increase over the first half of 2009. Total OCC volume for June came in at 311,231,916 contracts, a 2% decrease from June of last year when 316,348,912 contracts traded. This is the first time OCC cleared volume has reached 2 billion contracts at the half year mark, and follows closely on the first time full-year volume hit 2 bil

    The New York Stock Exchange, a subsidiary of NYSE Euronext (NYX), today released its weekly program-trading data compiled from member firms’ executed volume from NYSE’s orders database.   The report includes trading on the NYSE for June 21-25.

  • Key Figures SIX Swiss Exchange And Scoach Switzerland: June 2010

    In June 2010, cumulative trading turnover on SIX Swiss Exchange and Scoach Switzerland amounted to CHF 100.1 billion, representing a 11.6% decline versus the previous month. The total number of trades also retreated by 15.1% to a total of 2,914,973. The only increase in activity for the month was recorded in the CHF Bonds segment, where turnover increased by 12.9% to CHF 16.5 billion and the number of trades rose by 15.8% to 45,104.
