London Investment Banks Holding Their Nerve In Current Turmoil, Says SII
Figures from the Securities & Investment Institute (SII) released today suggest that investment banks have learnt their lesson from 2003/4 downturn and whilst currently retrenching, they are nevertheless, keeping their graduate recruitment pipeline open.

BME To Pay A € 84.9 Million Final Dividend Tomorrow - It Represents 1.01647 Euros Per Share
BME will tomorrow distribute a €84.9 million final dividend among its shareholders or 1.01647 euros per share, which combined with the €0.956 euros per share interim dividend distributed last January, will increase the ordinary dividend by 65% to 1.97 euros per share.

On April 30th, 2008 a new record in the volume of open interest on contracts traded on FORTS was set. At the end of the trading session of April 30th, 2008 the volume of open interest reached 9091606 contracts or 15,59 bln. US dollars.

ASX: Consultation Paper to Consider Foreign Exempt Companies for Index Inclusion
Standard & Poor’s Index Services (S&P) and the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) today released a consultation paper seeking market feedback on a proposal to make Foreign Exempt companies listed on ASX eligible for index inclusion.

DME Brent And Oman Crude Oil Financial Contracts To Commence Trading On The Dubai Mercantile Exchange On June 2nd 2008
The Dubai Mercantile Exchange Limited (DME) today announced that as of trade date 02 JUNE 2008, customers of the DME will be able to trade the Exchange’s two new financially settled futures contracts for Brent and Oman crude oil in addition to its benchmark DME Oman Crude Oil Futures Contract.

NYSE Euronext Announces First Quarter 2008 Financial Results - Record Quarterly Trading Volumes Across Products And Geographies Drives Revenue Growth - NYSE Euronext Conference Call At 8:00 A.M. (New York, EST)/2:00p.m. (Paris, CET)
NYSE Euronext (NYX) today reported net income of $230 million, or $0.87 per diluted share, for the quarter ended Mar. 31, 2008, a $162 million or 238% increase as compared to net income of $68 million, or $0.43 per diluted share, for the quarter ended Mar. 31, 2007. These results are presented in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The comparative results for 2007 reflect the operations of NYSE Group only.
