SEC To Publish For Public Comment Proposed Rules Expanding Stock-By-Stock Circuit Breakers

The Securities and Exchange Commission today is publishing for public comment proposals by the national securities exchanges and FINRA to expand a recently adopted circuit breaker program to include all stocks in the Russell 1000 Index and certain exchange-traded funds.

CBOE Expands Weekly Options By One Day - Allows Traders To More Easily "Roll" From One Weekly Expiration To Another

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) today announced that as of Thursday, July 1, all new Weekly options series listed at CBOE will begin trading on Thursdays and expire the following Friday. Prior to this change, new series were listed on Fridays. The additional day will expand market participants' ability to roll trades from one Weekly expiration to the next Weekly expiration.

NYSE Liffe To Launch Weekly Options On Single Stocks - First And Only Weekly Options On Individual Shares In Europe

As of July 16th NYSE Liffe will introduce weekly options on three of the most liquid shares traded on the Amsterdam market: ING Group N.V., Royal Dutch Shell and ArcelorMittal. These innovative contracts, which will provide investors with more opportunities to trade the major Amsterdam blue chip stocks, are the first ever weekly options on individual shares in Europe.
