  • HKEx: Changes Of Designated Securities For Short Selling

    The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), announces that with effect from 24 May 2011 (Tuesday), 65 additional securities will be eligible for short selling and 18 existing designated securities will be removed from the list.  The total number of designated securities for short selling will be 749 after the revision.

    Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (TSE) was scheduled to revise its trading rules for futures contracts, such as introducing a market maker scheme, in the fourth quarter of 2011 (from October to December) and had previously announced an outline of the revisions in "Revisions to Trading Rules for Futures Contracts in Connection with Migration to Tdex+ System" on September 24, 2010.

The opening price on SIX Swiss Exchange was CHF 113.00. This corresponds to a market capitalization of CHF 101.7 million. Hochdorf Holding AG belongs not only to the SPI®, but also to the SPI EXTRA®. According to the listing prospectus, 900,000 registered shares with a nominal value of CHF 10.00 were entered in the Commercial Register.

The new index is suited to underlie financial products such as exchange-traded funds (ETFs), structured products and certificates.

  • Eurex KOSPI Product Surpasses Milestone Of 1 Million Traded Contracts

    The international derivatives exchange Eurex today announced that its Eurex KOSPI Product has exceeded the 1 million traded contracts threshold last Thursday, 12 May, for the first time since its launch on 30 August 2010. Monthly trading volume has been increasing steadily, reaching more than 147,000 contracts in the current month (as of 13 May). Average daily volume is on record levels and totals more than 21,000 contracts in the current month. The current daily record of more than 29,000 order book traded contracts was achieved on 11 May 2011.
