TOCOM Gold Prices Reached New Highs In 27 Years

Tokyo Commodity Exchange, Inc. December 2010 gold futures contract (Nearest contract month) and October 2011 gold futures contract (back contract month) temporarily reached each 3,725 yen/gram and 3,734 yen/gram respectively during today's day session. This is the highest price seen in the past 27 years and 9 months, (since February, 1983).

Growth down under powers FTSE Mondo Visione Exchanges Index to rise of 7.5 per cent in October 2010 – ASX sets the pace with rise of 15.3%

Asian-based exchanges topped the FTSE Mondo Visione Exchanges Index in October 2010. ASX and Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing experienced a 15.3 per cent and 11.8 per cent increase respectively and CME Group rose by 11.2%. Asian-based exchanges also propped up the bottom of the table with Singapore Exchange experiencing a fall of 0.9% and Philippine Stock Exchange falling by 1.7%.

Shanghai Stock Exchange Free Float, CSI EW 90, 300 SSE To Be Launched On Dec. 2

The Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) and China Securities Index Co., Ltd. (CSI) have recently announced that SSE Free Float Index (SSE Free Float), CSI Equal Weight 90 Index (CSI EW 90) and CSI 300 SSE Stocks Index (300 SSE) would be officially introduced on December 2, 2010.

Korea Exchange: Trading Volume Of Mini-Gold Futures Set A New Record

Trading volume of Mini-gold Futures was 1,268 contracts on November 10, surpassing the previous record of 1,198 contracts set on November 2, 2010. Also, open interest set a new record of 915, the highest since its listing.
