(NYSE: ICE), a leading operator of global regulated futures exchanges, clearing houses and over-the-counter (OTC) markets, today announced the introduction of an ICE OTC cleared iron ore contract based on the well-regarded Platts Iron Ore Index. The ICE Platts Iron Ore Swap 62% Fe (metallic iron) contract will be available for clearing on ICE Clear U.S. beginning December 2, 2009.

    The “Sixth Asia-Pacific New Market Forum” hosted by SZSE was held in Shenzhen on November 18, 2009. 10 exchanges in Asia-Pacific regions and relevant institutions coming from Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Australia, Hong Kong and Taiwan attended the forum. Chen Dongzheng, council chairman of the SZSE and Zhu Congjiu, CSRC chairman assistant delivered the important speech. Song Liping, general manager of the SZSE, presided the meeting.
