From 1 July 2011 Poland will take up the rotating presidency of the European Union. This presidency is an important step in the integration of Poland within the EU, which it joined on 1 May 2004. It is also a political asset and a sign of the economic health of a country that has weathered the crisis with a growth rate estimated at 3.80%.

The official foundation of greenmarket Commodity Exchange took place on 25 Mai 2011 with the constituent assembly of its Exchange Council. "Munich Stock Exchange, with over 180 years of history, has now added a commodity exchange - an auspicious event for the city as a stock exchange location", stated Dr. Christine Bortenlänger, Member of the Managing Board of Bayerische Börse AG. "This new commodity exchange will enable us to send a clear signal in spot and futures trading, and transform Munich into a major centre for secure carbon emissions trading", explained Dr. Robert Ertl, one of greenmarket's Managing Directors. RTS And MICEX Sign An Agreement To Merge

The MICEX and the RTS have announced the signing of a framework agreement to merge their businesses. The agreement determines the procedures for forming a single exchange holding. Clearstream, the post-trade services provider of Deutsche Börse Group, announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS), a leading provider of end-to-end corporate governance solutions. Clearstream will employ the ISS infrastructure to enhance its proxy voting service for all eligible instruments and Clearstream proxy voting markets, for both its business as International Central Securities Depository (ICSD) and as Central Securities Depository (CSD) for Germany. The new service will be in place in February 2012, in time for next year’s proxy voting season.
