CCX Welcomes CFTC Consideration Of Carbon Contract

FTSE Environmental Technology 50 Index Selected By New York State Common Retirement Fund (NYSCRF)
FTSE Group, the award-winning global index provider, today confirms that the FTSE Environmental Technology 50 Index has been licensed to one of the US’s largest public pension plans, the New York State Common Retirement Fund. CBOE Receives SEC Approval For Tied Hedge Procedure
The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) today announced it received Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approval for an exception to the Exchange's current rules restricting anticipatory hedging.The new "tied hedge" procedures allow firms to obtain a related stock, security futures or futures hedge prior to presenting the tied hedge order to CBOE's open-outcry trading community for execution.

FINRA Expels Maximum Financial For Net Capital, AML, Other Violations While Engaging In Retail Foreign Currency Exchange Business - CEO Barred As A Principal, Suspended For Nine Months In All Capacities

CME Group Names Timothy Andriesen As Managing Director, Agricultural Commodities
CME Group, the world's largest and most diverse derivatives marketplace, today announced that it has named Timothy Andriesen as Managing Director, Agricultural Commodities. Andriesen, 49, will be responsible for developing and executing the global business and sales strategy for the company's agricultural commodities product line. He will report to Barry Goldblatt, CME Group Managing Director, Commodities, Equities and Energy Products and will be based in Chicago.

Johannesburg Stock Exchange Posts Solid Interim Performance
Despite a challenging first half in which stock exchanges worldwide faced the fall-out of systemic pressures originating in 2008, JSE Ltd – the listed company that operates the Johannesburg Stock Exchange – managed to increase group revenue by 7% to R544m (2008: R509m) and operating profit by 9% to R206m (2008: R189m) during the six months to June 2009.
