The Securities and Exchange Commission today charged two Florida men with operating a Ponzi scheme disguised as a purported private equity fund that fraudulently raised approximately $22 million from more than 100 investors, many of whom were Florida teachers or retirees.

First Trade Of California Carbon Futures On GreenX

Green Exchange LLC (GreenX) today commenced trading of its California Carbon Allowance (CCA) futures contract. The contract, which will serve as a compliance and risk management tool for market participants operating within the California Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS), is currently the only California ETS product traded on an exchange regulated by the CFTC.

Tehran Stock Exchange: Offers Bank Ansar To Public

On 28 August 2011, trading on Bank Ansar's equity shares was started on Tehran Stock Exchange for the first time after listing. At the first day, 111.7 Million equity shares of Bank Ansar (as TSE's 10th listed bank) were traded at the price of IRR 2,650 (USD 0.25) with the total value of IRR 300 billion (USD 28.3 million). This is the second bank, publicly offering its shares in August 2011.
