BM&FBOVESPA Authorizes SunGard As DMA Provider
The Brazilian Securities, Commodities and Futures Exchange – BM&FBOVESPA has authorized SunGard to act as a provider of direct market access (DMA) for the BM&F segment (derivatives markets). SunGard will offer brokerage houses and its clients an order routing system for the direct trading of financial and agricultural derivatives traded at the Exchange.

CESR Data On Prospectuses Approved And Passported July 2009 To December 2009
CESR published in June 2007 its “Report on the supervisory functioning of the Prospectus Directive and Regulation” (CESR/07-225) that included some statistical data in relation to the number of prospectus approved and passported for the periods July 2004 to June 2005 and July 2005 to June 2006 (with quarterly disclosure).

SGX: CapitaMalls Asia To Join Straits Times Index After Half-Yearly Review
Singapore Press Holdings (SPH), Singapore Exchange (SGX) and FTSE Group (FTSE) announced today that CapitaMalls Asia Ltd will replace Cosco Corp Singapore Ltd as a constituent of the Straits Times Index (STI) following the conclusion of the half-yearly review.

ETF Securities: Equity ETF Review 2009
Global equity markets rallied strongly in 2009, with resource-related equities leading the charge. The rally took place following severe market declines in 2H 2008 and 1Q 2009 caused by the worst financial crisis in 50 years. All of the long equity ETFs on the ETFX platform performed strongly, with the ETFX Global Coal Mining Fund (COAL) leading the pack with a 138% return.

Overseas investor participation in the securities market of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) remained high despite the market downturn during the global financial crisis, according to HKEx's Cash Market Transaction Survey 2008/09 (covering HKEx's securities market turnover from October 2008 to September 2009).
