New Annual Electronic Trading Record Set At MGEX

MGEX, a Designated Contract Market and Derivatives ClearingOrganization, today announced it set a new annual electronic trading record in 2011. With 21 trading days left in the calendar year, more than 1.5 million contracts have traded electronically at MGEX in 2011, breaking the previous record set in 2010. Further, November 2011 broke into the top 25 of monthly electronic trading records.

Perrigo Company (Nasdaq:PRGO) will become a component of the NASDAQ-100 Index®(Nasdaq:NDX), the NASDAQ-100 Equal Weighted Index (Nasdaq:NDXE) and the NASDAQ-100 Ex-Tech Sector Index (Nasdaq:NDXX) prior to market open on Tuesday, December 6, 2011. Perrigo Company will replace Joy Global Inc. (Nasdaq:JOYG).

CBOE Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: CBOE) today reported that November trading volume for options on theChicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) and C2 Options Exchange (C2), the company's all-electronic market, combined, totaled 88.9 million contracts. Options average daily volume (ADV) was 4.2 million contracts, a decrease of five percent from November 2010 ADV of 4.5 million contracts per day.

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today announced it obtained an emergency court order on November 29, 2011, freezing assets held by defendants Brant and Melissa Rushton and their wholly-owned Illinois company, Summit Trading & Capital LLC (Summit). The court’s order also prohibits the destruction of books and records and grants the CFTC immediate access to such documents. The Rushtons, both formerly of Champaign, Ill., currently reside in Bend, Ore.

CBOE Futures Exchange November Volume Increased 9% Over Year Ago

The CBOE Futures Exchange, LLC (CFE) today announced that trading volume during November 2011totaled 822,783 contracts, an increase of nine percent from the 751,481 contracts traded in November 2010. Average daily volume (ADV) at CFE during November 2011 was 39,180 contracts, also a gain of nine percent from the 35,785 contracts traded per day in November 2010. The 11 months of 2011 rank as the top 11 most-active trading months in CFE history.
